Our Scope
Aetopia Health provides eye health and wellness education, including articles, downloadable guides, and general wellness assessment tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you. Our educational material is not medical advice and using the website does not establish a doctor-patient relationship.
Eye Optimization Scorecard Signup
The Scorecard signup asks only for your email address. When present, we also collect limited campaign attribution, such as the source, medium, campaign, content, and term associated with the signup.
When you check the consent box and submit the form, you request the Scorecard and consent to its related educational email sequence. We send MailerLite your email address, source, campaign attribution, consent-version, and consent-time. MailerLite is the system of record for the Scorecard subscription group, educational email sequence, delivery status, and unsubscribes.
We do not ask for or send health information, account credentials, or payment information through this signup. Scorecard subscription records are separate from Aetopia account and assessment records.
Shop Waitlist Signup
Before the shop opens, you can ask to be notified when it does. The waitlist form asks for your email address and, if you choose, your first name. When you sign up from a product, we also note which product you asked about.
When you check the consent box and submit the form, we send MailerLite your email address, first name (if given), and the product you asked about. You'll receive an email when the shop opens, plus occasional educational emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not ask for or send health information or payment information through this signup.
Other Information We May Collect
Other enabled parts of the site may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, and securely managed account credentials.
- Assessment information: answers you choose to provide, which may include age, health history, lifestyle factors, and generated wellness reports.
- Purchase information: order and transaction details. Stripe processes payment-card information; Aetopia does not store complete card numbers.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referral information, and security or diagnostic records.
How We Use Information
- Deliver requested guides, articles, educational emails, assessments, and reports.
- Operate accounts, remember progress, and fulfill purchases.
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, diagnose problems, and improve site performance.
- Measure how educational content and campaigns are used.
- Comply with legal obligations and resolve legitimate transaction or rights requests.
Service Providers and Disclosure
We use service providers to operate the site, including MailerLite for Scorecard emails, Firebase for authentication and application data, Stripe for payments, email providers for transactional messages, and hosting, content, security, and analytics providers. They may process information only as needed to provide their services to us or as required by law.
We do not sell or rent personal information to third-party marketers. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the security and rights of users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Email Choices
Every Scorecard educational email includes an unsubscribe link. MailerLite records delivery and subscription status. An address marked unsubscribed, bounced, or junk is not re-enrolled by submitting the Scorecard form again.
Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the requested service, maintain account or transaction records, protect the site, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type and purpose of the information. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when legally permitted or required.
For privacy-rights or legally required data-protection requests only, email support@aetopiahealth.com. Marketing email preferences should be managed through the unsubscribe link in each email.
Remove your Scorecard marketing record
Enter the email address used for the Scorecard. We will check only the separate MailerLite Scorecard subscription record and email that address a one-hour confirmation link before making any change. This request does not search, expose, or change clinical, assessment, account, or purchase data.
The initial response does not reveal whether an address was on the mailing list. After mailbox confirmation, we delete a subscriber used only for the Scorecard. If the subscriber has other MailerLite subscriptions, we remove it only from the Scorecard group and clear the Scorecard-specific source, consent, and attribution fields without changing those other subscriptions. If you need access to or deletion of other Aetopia records, email support at the address above; we may need to verify your identity and will respond as required by applicable law.
Age and Policy Updates
The account, assessment, and Scorecard signup services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly use them to collect personal information from children under 18. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the revised date on this page.
