Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the Aetopia Health website, educational materials, Scorecard, accounts, general wellness assessments, and related services. By using the service, creating an account, or affirmatively accepting these Terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Education, Not Medical Care

Aetopia Health's mission is to help people make better-informed choices about eye health and wellness. All articles, guides, product discussions, assessment tools, reports, and other material are provided for educational, informational, and general wellness purposes only.

  • The service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a prescription.
  • Using the service does not create a doctor-patient relationship with Spencer Fuller, MD, MPH, or anyone associated with Aetopia Health.
  • Content is not a substitute for an examination or advice from your own physician or qualified eye care professional.
  • Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of information on this site.
  • If you may be experiencing an emergency, contact emergency services, go to an emergency department, or contact your own doctor immediately.

Products, Claims, and Outcomes

Discussion or grading of a product, ingredient, brand, practice, professional, study, or service does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee. Product manufacturers and sellers control their own claims, labels, ingredients, formulations, warnings, availability, and quality; Aetopia Health does not make or verify every third-party claim and is not responsible for changes they make.

Evidence and product information can change, and people can respond differently. Aetopia Health does not promise that any product, habit, assessment result, or educational approach will be safe, suitable, effective, or produce a particular outcome for you. Review current labels and instructions and discuss health decisions with your own qualified clinician.

General Wellness Assessments

Visionspan™ tools are self-administered awareness and general wellness tools. They may help you organize observations or questions for your own eye care professional, but they do not detect, rule out, monitor, or diagnose an eye disease and should not be used to decide whether or when to seek professional care.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 to create an account, use an assessment, or request the Scorecard. You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping credentials confidential, and activity conducted through your account.

Scorecard and Educational Emails

When you check the Scorecard consent box and submit your email address, you request the Scorecard and consent to related educational emails. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email. The Privacy Policy explains the information used for this service.

Purchases

Aetopia offers paid digital reports through Stripe checkout. The price and material terms are shown before purchase, and you authorize the displayed charge when you complete checkout. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, completed digital purchases are final.

For a suspected billing, duplicate-charge, or digital-delivery error only, email support@aetopiahealth.com with the order reference. This address is not a general support channel.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the service, including by:

  • breaking the law or infringing another person's rights;
  • attempting unauthorized access, bypassing security, or disrupting the service;
  • introducing malicious code, scraping at unreasonable volume, or harvesting user information;
  • misrepresenting Aetopia content as individualized medical advice; or
  • copying or commercially exploiting content except as allowed by law or written permission.

Content and Third-Party Services

Aetopia Health and its licensors retain rights in the site's original content, design, and software. Limited personal use does not transfer ownership. Links or references to third-party websites, products, professionals, or services are provided for convenience; those third parties control their own content, terms, privacy practices, and performance.

Disclaimers and Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will always be available, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. Educational content reflects information available when prepared and may become outdated.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aetopia Health and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or reliance on the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits rights you cannot waive.

Governing Law and Updates

These Terms are governed by Nevada law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that must be brought in court will be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Washoe County, Nevada, unless applicable law requires another forum. We may update these Terms as the service changes; the revised date will appear on this page.
