I'm a vitreoretinal surgeon. I spend my days with people who are worried about their vision — some who found a problem early enough to do something about it, and some who didn't. Oftentimes, patients track their steps, their sleep, and their heart rate daily, and give almost no attention to their eyes until symptoms show up. Most people don't know what their eyes actually need until something goes wrong.
What I've noticed over the years is how much of the distance between those two outcomes — catching something early and catching it late — comes down to information and the individual's ability to do something with that information. There is a lot of advice available online, but it can be confusing. People generally know there are many more things they could be doing for their eye health and wellness — and things they should avoid — but don't know where to begin or how to allocate their precious time and money.
Aetopia Health exists to close this gap.
Our mission is straightforward: to educate people about their vision health and give them access to the best evidence-based products. That means explaining conditions clearly, in plain language, without hedging or hype. It means being honest about what the evidence supports and what it doesn't. And it means only putting products in our shop that I would use myself and that I recommend to my patients in clinic.
This is a space for anyone who wants to understand their eye health and wellness better — whether you've been given a diagnosis, you're managing daily discomfort, or you simply want to optimize your vision for the decades ahead.
We're glad you're here.
